Oil Filter Lid (CAP) with 3 Sensor Ports and Oil Cooler Fittings BMW M52 M54 M56

Stock lid replacement (OEM part no. 11421744000) with advantages, this forged aluminium lid is ideal for installing oil pressure and temperature gauges on your BMW.

Featuring two 1/8" NPT ports (common thread size for gauge sensors) andtwo male Dash 10 fittings, this lid makes installing sensors quick and easy, as well as attaching an additional oil cooler.

The lid includes an extra insert with a 10x100 thread, particularly suited for feeding oil to your turbo.

The lid comes with two 1/8" NPT blanking screws and another in 10x100, allowing you to block unused ports.

Please note: Use on the M54 will require trimming of the intake manifold:

- VIA Confirmed Customer install:

"You do have to unbolt the top of the cap with (7) M5 socket head cap screws and thread the bottom part onto the oil filter housing.

Unfortunately the intake manifold interferes and needs trimming. (See tiny red arrow in 1st photo below).
You can see about how much of the intake manifold had to be trimmed. The 2nd photo is the base hand threaded in place. This is the type in information it would be good knowing, going into the project.

I was not sure how much would need to be trimmed and if I was in danger of breaking through the seam, creating a vacuum leak.

I asked Drift HQ (The US distributor for PMC Motorsports) and they assured me it would not take much and that was accurate and I feel confident the intake manifold has not been compromised.

Great product fits right on

Had to drill out holes

Had to drill out the bolt holes on the cap because they didn't lineup. After that no problems.

Absolutely love it. Installed on my 2000 Z3. I have future plans for this, so just getting everything in place first and making sure it all runs smooth with all the aftermarket parts and fixtures before I implement said plans. Had a little bit of a rough time trying to thread on the filter top to the housing, but a couple slight modifications to the one intake runner, and now it should be pretty straight forward taking on and off. Overall super happy with the product. No leaks at all. Only dropped about half a pound to 3/4 of oil pressure. I definitely recommend if you're trying to avoid, or just absolutely don't want to do the Euro oil filter housing swap. Very simple install, comes with new gaskets AND a new filter (not sure on brand, but definitely is good enough for the job). Overall great product for the price, also looks pretty cool in the engine bay!

Great product

Super awesome cooler easy to install keeping my oil temps low while on track drifting. Hot lapping getting all the seat time I can get.
I broke a bolt on the top oil cover it was my fault I over tight it didn't come with torque specs so I guessed and broke one but easy fix on my next oil change.
I did use some red gasket sealer just for double sealing my preference doesn't hurt.

P.s.
( I know I'm hurting my intake temps by running the lines over the filter but the filter doesn't help either lol going to change it for up)
😅🤙

Worked great!

Firmest was spot on and a much better oil cooler routing option than others
