Adapter kit enables users connection of GM Chevrolet V8 LS LS1 LS3 LS7 engine series with very durable and easy to buy BMW gearbox. It is an ideal solution for motorsport as well as for people who want to change (convert) automatic gearbox (transmission) to manual.

 Advantages of PMC sets:

  • The kit warranties ideal alignment of engine and gearbox (0,01mm)
  • Lightweight aluminum custom flywheel includes replaceable iron cast friction surface
  • Custom clutch fork pivot pin / Spherical pusher (BMW OEM 21 51 1 223 328) is included in the kit, with lets users adjust BMW clutch fork (dedicated to owned gearbox type) to the custom flywheel

Original automatic transmission ring gear (flexplate) for GM Chevrolet V8 LS LS1 LS3 LS7 is required to install PMC custom flywheel. The original Chevrolet LS started is used with the kit in the same position.

    awesome unit

    plate fits perfect, i have it on a gen 3 LS wiith the 6 speed bmw trans, also i am not using an LS7 starter, im using a 2008+ truck starter(the smaller starter) everything fits and looks good, i am satisfied

    Well put together

    Machining and fitment of the kit is really good. Clutch fitment is pretty vague as far as what other clutches will work that are readily available in the US. Decided to get the kit with the clutch to avoid any hassles. When paired with the CX racing mount kit you CANNOT install the transmission or the kit with the engine in the car. Engine will have to come out to attach the plate or the trans. You will also need to shorten the driveshaft 3/4 to an inch to make it work.

    Overall the quality of the kit was great and didn't have any fitment issues mating the trans to the engine. As the other review says, there doesn't seem to be alot of instructions or support for the kit and you have to run the LS7 starter.

    Good product, lacks documentation

    I haven't completely installed the kit yet but what I received was very well made and packaged securely. Having to find information about this adapter is very difficult to the point where I wasn't sure if this was what I wanted to purchase. Drift HQ / PMC's website / Youtube video comments was how I figured out what I extra parts I needed to get this all working. I'll update this post if I run into any serious issues with the install.

    Things to note:
    - Run the stock flexplate made for your motor.
    - You'll need a LS7 starter (12617229) not all LS starters are the same.
    - This package includes flywheel bolts. Previous kits did not, you'll find online reviews saying people had to get their own hardware. It's included.
    - The clutch you can run is OEM spec to the trans you plan to use.
    - This kit provides a clutch/pressure plate and there's no kit sold without it.
