    Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Gaskets are designed to give you the best possible seal for your naturally-aspirated, boosted, or nitrous-fed engine. The head gaskets are made from three to five layers of spring stainless steel, offering you a stronger base material than standard head gaskets. The outer layers are Viton-coated stainless steel providing a superior seal not available with other steel or copper gaskets. The gaskets offer excellent rebound characteristics and are made to resist corrosives. MLS Head Gaskets reduce bore distortion but still can withstand extreme cylinder pressures. Sold individually.

  • Made from Stainless Spring Steel to offer an extremely strong corrosion resistant head gasket
  • Each MLS head gasket is coated with a .001" thick Viton rubber that is bonded to the outer stainless steel layers
  • Designed to withstand serious cylinder pressures without requiring machining for the installation of a locking wire

     

    Installation Notes:
  • A surface finish of 50 RA (roughness average) or finer is recommended for proper gasket seal.
  • Gaskets are not designed to be used on engines with O-rings or receiver grooves.
  • Always refer to the manufacturer of the fastener to determine accurate torque values.
  • Cometic head gaskets go on dry because they are coated with a sealant.
  • Adding an additional sealer can hinder the performance of an MLS head gasket.
