Cometic Multilayer Steel (MLS) Gaskets consist of three layers of stainless steel. The Viton-coated outer layer provides a superior seal with excellent rebound characteristics and corrosion resistance. MLS Gaskets reduce bore distortion and withstand extreme cylinder pressures. Sold individually.
Cometic Cylinder Head Gaskets go on dry because they're treated with a sealant (adding another sealer can hinder gasket performance). These gaskets are not designed to be used on engines with O-rings or receiver grooves, and a surface finish of 50 RA (roughness average) or finer is recommended for proper gasket sealing. Always refer to the manufacturer of the fastener to determine accurate torque values.
